- 500g good quality minced beef
- 1 slice of stale white bread
- 1 egg
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 tbl spoons Thai fish sauce
- pepper, paprika
- no salt
- soak the bread in lukewarm water
- finely dice the onion and garlic and sauté in a little butter over low heat for about 10 minutes (prepare potatoes and veggies while the onions are cooking
- squeeze the bread to remove excess water and mix all ingredients thoroughly
- form 8 meat patties, about 5cm in diameter and 1.5cm thick
- fry in a little (or no) fat over medium high heat for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally
